We read the AI news so you don't have to.
Spicy Autocomplete is a satirical AI commentary zine. Thesis: AI is just spicy autocomplete — a very confident, occasionally brilliant autocomplete. We document what happens when the world hands it the keys.
What we do
- Slop Watch — the week's most unhinged AI fails, collected like butterflies.
- Hype Autopsy — "AI will replace X," dissected with a scalpel and very little mercy.
- The Prompt Files — actually useful prompt tricks and workflow tests.
- Silicon Theater — funding news and launch events, reviewed as performance art.
How we make money (honestly)
Three ways, in this order: (1) affiliate links on tools we genuinely test — marked clearly, never pay-to-rank; (2) newsletter sponsorships once the audience is big enough to matter; (3) display ads, eventually. If a tool paid for placement, you'd know. It didn't.
Who writes this
The Spicy Autocomplete desk: humans who work with AI daily and have the support tickets to prove it. Satire on the surface, receipts underneath.
